Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Be careful at Macys especially for younger (college age) kids

Be careful about working here
My daughter was continuously called over and over on days off
Her paycheck was incorrect multiple times, always in Macys favor
I can’t think of one off day where she wasn’t called, her phone would ring even when she was in class
Store manager called to ask where to send flowers because my mother passed, I’ve never met the store manager and she certainly never met my 84 year old mother and my daughter had to call out for a week while we went to Florida for the funeral , she was just being nosy because my daughter called out with a death in family. I told her no thanks.

Watch out if you have college age kids here.

Shamed working mothers, too. Must be a store manager.

Let's see... You shamed office workers, shamed people on food stamps, shamed fast-food workers.. Yet at the end of the day, with all your prejudice and hate, you still work at Macy's too.

This is probably shocking to your ears, having never heard of something like this, but I have someone in my life called a "husband" (who is equally related to all our children). But people who smell of fishery don't know about stuff like this.

I’m glad you got to raise your kids on a Macys salary. Did the food stamps last all month or did you have to juggle?

Where did I go wrong, O Wanda who smells like a fish? I had the cushiest schedule in the building and got the time to raise my children. What about you?

I've never had a screwed up paycheck either. I'm an AST for almost ten years and I can tell "Diana" the payroll shill below that neither I nor any people leader have ever regularly reviewed timecards (except in cases of suspected time fraud). I tell every single new hire to keep an eye on their timecard to make sure they've punched correctly so that we can fix it before the sign-off period. I don't think "Diana" realizes, having never worked in a store, that eyeballing your timecard on Insite is not the same thing as correcting it (except where Insite allows).

She should’ve checked her clock ins on insite.
I’ve worked with Macys for a few years now and I’ve never missed any hours of my paycheck due to a error on Macys end. When I had missing hours it was because I forgot to clock in for the day and didn’t have my manager/ ast fix it before end of week.

Also do y’all know how many times I go to clock in but I can’t bc the colleague before me didn’t complete the clock in.
It’s more then one step PEOPLE!

Associate's keeping track of , auditing or changing their time keeping is not new. Lots of organizations do this. In addition don't be foolish. No you couldn't just add hours and rack OT or additional hours as there are many safe guards in place. The first be time keeping being compared to scheduling.

I'm guessing you've never been an hourly store associate. If they miss a punch or sc--w up, they fill out a form we fix. And as a matter of fact, they CAN fix their own punches on Insite. Bit ultimately it's up to them to press the right buttons on the register to clock in or notify us they messed up.

The employee is responsible for making sure they clock properly and report any errors. How does the employer review the clocks of 100+ people over the course of seven days?
