Thread regarding Pearson PLC layoffs

Something is not right!

No payout for unused PTO, no severance, no reasoning as to why certain people were cut and others stayed. They also screwed people still there by not allowing the ones cut to help transition. Yuck all around!

Mega still hasn't paid people what they owe them from the first checks that did not reflect any pay updates. This doesn't sound legal at all!

If you have proof, there are employment lawyers who will take the case. If they aren't paying you properly, please don't settle for their lies or placating comments. The ELT are like eats on a sinking ship...stepping on everyone else to save themselves.

I appreciate that the EdTech newsletter is shining a light on this situation. It's a niche audience but a few more people will become aware. If you're on the outside of the situation but connected due to the company you work for, you would never know. Historical behavior is a predictor of future action.

Some states require vacation to be paid out. Hope those living in those areas are aware.
