Thread regarding Razorfish layoffs

Well…looks like they started a layoff via RTO

They said they would evaluate layoffs again in August and oh look! a RTO!

Bad timing too when kids are going back to school and now with the commute you’ll need a sitter prior to 9am so you can get to the office. We will need to pay more for the commute and pay with our time too.

We will get less talent, all the good talent goes for remote or mostly. BUT WE GOT THREE DAYS IN when “Best practice” before was 1-3. So naturally they went for the high end? To cause a “lay off”? We will get those who completely slack now as they hound on linkedin for a new job. I do not blame them, some just work better feeling they can make decisions for themselves as an adult.

The meeting for this topic was also changed to Friday…the day they said to try and keep meetings to a minimum on for the Summer. So they can avoid actually speaking to us since less people are in then? I think?

WFH worked for so many…less distractions at home too than the weird open desk arrangement where you can hear everyone speak. Upper management always using meeting rooms as an office. It’s frustrating and sad.
