Thread regarding Barnes & Noble layoffs

Have things improved at all for regular employees?

I left B&N four years ago. I'm considering applying again since I do love working with books, but posts here are making me nervous. It looks like things have not improved at all since I left.

If you work there you’ll find getting a good position in the future difficult. No one wants BN employees

Do it!! I absolutely love my job at Barnes and Noble. I’m very part time so it works for me (1-3 days a week).

Why would you subject yourself to this awful company again?
Go to an independent store or library. This company will be bankrupt soon anyhow.

They forced our horrible regional manager to retire not long ago but before she left, she promoted someone who is lazier, meaner and much d-mber. So I guess that's a huge no from me.
