Thread regarding Pearson PLC layoffs

Not Boundless Reasons, Just One On Back To Office

They want employees to quit. There’s no sense in instituting a back to office policy and then make it as difficult as you can by setting the travel distance to 2 hours each way if the reason is for what the ELT has claimed.

In Orlando, that’s as far North as Jacksonville, as far West as Tampa/St Pete and as far South as Sebring, and Ft Pierce on the I95 side. Thats just ridiculous. And gas prices are through the ceiling.

Interesting side noteā€¦this doesn’t affect any of the ELT since they all conveniently don’t live anywhere near the cities where we’re going to have offices.

And the reason they want people to quit is because they company still isn’t doing good financially.

If Regent or MCO or whoever owns us is listening, maybe try bringing in an entirely new leadership team. This crew had their chance and they’ve been failing all over the place.

There’s one way we can end this management and Regent nonsense. We should unionize. I’ve been working on this since August. There’s no Boundless company without EAs.

Employees are being placed on PIPs? There hasn't been enough time to show behavior possibly deserving a PIP. If this is a new company for everyone who is settling into their new positions, it's premature. Talk about wanting to have it both ways!

Well if I am still using a Pearson email address not solely a Regent one, future posts will continue.

Why post this on the Pearson page and not on Boundless / Regent?

This new place is a related devil to POLS/Pearson. The arrogance to say up to 2 hour drive time one way. Everyone who lives over 45 min or so should quit and file unemployment once they are required day 1 to drive to the office. The easy claim to unemployment is to advise the job has changed from remote to office with an absurd travel time requirement. Regent will lose any argument. Can you imagine if there was a job ad asking a prospective employee to drive, maybe fly, up to 2 hours away and the job candidate pursuing the position. Beyond laughable, just make sure to set up an unemployment meeting over the phone or in person for an immediate decision. Thank You Regent for sending this travel requirement in writing so I can turn it over to the state. BTW, people are being placed on PIP right now. A person now gets let go within 2 to 3 weeks after receiving the write up. We are told idle time, cf progress, and 6 other things can lead to this action. There will be another round or 2 of layoffs to celebrate the holidays. Hello BoundlessLearning/Regent/Pearson(Pearson email addresses are still being used after alleged purchase) there is NO business. Me having to call closed leads and get numbers from this is similar to me digging up my grandma and raising her from the dead. Too bad her name wasnt Lazarus.
