I was upset to visit Michaels the other day to find that the check out counters were now self serve !
A worker his approach me when I expressed my horror that there were no check out workers… she told me all the workers hours had been cut back! Not only are these workers trying to support themselves and their families in minimum wage but now they earn less as their weekly hours have been cut. I’m disgusted by Michaels executives who make the decisions. Meanwhile Michaels makes almost 4 billion in profits. Disgusting!

After almost 3 years, I am being laid off from Micheals and in the mean time they keep the staff who bring questionable appearances to work.
Michaels doesn't make $4 billion in profits, that is their sales. They are losing money and have to cut expenses, that's why they're laying off people and closing stores.
