If you look at the bios of the ELT you’ll see that none of them are original Phillips Petroleum, Conoco, or ConocoPhillips officers. The CEO did start out with PPCO, but he was in CP Chem for a long time.
They’ve all knocked around at different companies for a few years before moving on.
If they were hourly employees trying to get hired, this would be giant red flag for anyone evaluating their application.
But P66 just goes ahead and hires these executives.

A wise man once said: Fools will climb to the level of their incompetency.
It applies to management quite easily.
IMO - Phillips has been deteriorating for years. For one thing the company does not retain employees with experience, because that means paying them more. So, eventually good employees leave. Also, it appears the upper echelon constantly churns the top tier management positions under them. The idea is whoever behaves the most outrageously wins the brass ring.
To the previous poster: Be sure to let us know how necessary and good BT is when you and/or some of your good friends gets laid off. I bet you’ll have a different perspective then.
You people are truly part of the problem. This archaic thinking is the reason we needed business transformation in the first place. You don’t realize just how bloated and uncompetitive the company was from 2015-2021. Investors do and outsiders do. Only external guidance and perspective will save this place.
And we have not done enough yet. More is needed to make us competitive. Too many people still as evidenced by the vacant parking lots at 8am and 4pm and the vacant building on Fridays.
It’s the ethos of every up-an-comer RLT member. Spend 2-3yrs at a site. Destroy it with catchy initiatives and hard words. Dangle the carrot, then bail to the next site, pocketing the prize money relo bonus. All the while building out the resume to climb the executive ladder. Of which the rungs are constructed of the simple worker.

It’s no wonder they don’t give a wh-t about the heritage and legacy of this once great company.
They’ll wear out their welcomes and be moving on anyway, leaving the wreckage of the company in their wake.
