Thread regarding Accenture layoffs

Accenture's Whole Game

Accenture's whole game is acquiring niche businesses, wringing the life out of the acquired employees and outsourcing the jobs to India.

I've been through it with them when the small high tech IP Consulting firm (150+ employees + 200 contractors) I worked for was acquired by Accenture in 2007.

It was absolutely miserable working for Accenture over the next several years before I left. I worked around the clock and was on the road constantly. It's a professional sweatshop.

The only upside was that the Employee Stock I purchased has significantly grown in value over the years and represent a significant portion of my retirement portfolio.

In summary, working for Accenture was like working for blood money.

It is a large portion of the IT department at L3Harris Technologies that is being rebadged to Accenture.

L3Harris Technologies is doing the same thing right now too. They are a defense contractor, not sure how this saves the tax payers money.

Their pyramidal business model is really fu---d up when you're inside. And the way they operate is really messed up. But heck, they do great advertising, specially for the newbies.

People wind up getting mental health issues working there. If i would submit to that kind of abuse, i would rather work for investment banking: you get more chance to make it to the big bucks than a sweatshop like Accidenture. It's really the satanic mill of olden days.
