I never believed in the "far fewer products" strategy announced a couple years ago. I used to explain to my fellow engineers that this would mean "far fewer sales" and, of course, "far fewer" employees.

One immediate improvement they could make to improve sales is to improve the website. Introduce color (vs black and white) pages, and create actual sales videos, where a human being describes the products. It's called SELLING! A very old concept they seem to have forgotten.

Oh well, glad I took the recent VERO (after 40 years of service). I didn't imagine there would be additional layoffs this soon. I'm very sad to hear it.

Bose is now a 'me too' distributor of headphones administered by parasites feeding off the lives of employees. The woketarded indoctrination isn't helping. Good luck because the economy is in recession despite what government 'news' tells you. Sorry for the bad news but if you voted for the pedo-codger you're partially to blame.

Curious what does "BSO" stand for?

Looking forward to the day I leave. Not laid off this round but there have been more layoffs than years I've worked at Bose. BSO is a mess and they keep consolidating decision making under the same managers that perpetuate terrible software. I don't understand how they expect their software game to improve when they keep doing this. I'm becoming a worse engineer by being there.

I'm predicting another round of layoffs at the end of FY24. (February or March).

Just saying this again another set of lifeboats are leaving. The amount of assets they have let go is staggering, they will have nothing left to get rid of soon, automotive would be the next asset to go I imagine. But jeez, I cannot believe they are failing so bad. But then again all they make are headphones, eco 2 products are mehhh (that Bose music app has minimal updates besides some modest updates, still rockin the original music services nothing new added, no new features of note)
So glad I moved on

So what's left at Bose? Are they selling the facilities on the Mountain?

Just got laid off from BSO. Final day is on Black Friday. Severance pay is six weeks. The way they handled this is atrocious.

Nobody knows anything right now. What we have been told is this should be complete next July or August.

Distribution as in Tolleson, Yuma and Jeffersonville are going to 3rd party. Repair is going to a 3rd part as well. I don't know what company is taking over the logistics/ distribution or where repair is going. Nobody has said a thing in any of the corporate videos. About the the only information we got is a bunch of BS corporate speak. Leveraging corporate assets in accordance with our long term vision on productivity and manufacturing. To incorporate a long term strategy to get us to where need to be. These decisions are never easy and the difficult to make. Blah Blah Blah.....

What do you mean distribution? Can you clarify? What are they doing to it?

Fact, 10 years in a row for one or more firing events during the year. This year, "3rd VERO acceptances did not lead to enough reductions" (it never has), firings certain, again. Life at Bose, head on a swivel. All the best, be careful out there.

The woketards will probably be counting proposed people to be laid off based on 'equity' which loosely translated means "count people based on physiology,,,not ABILITY" .

Most of the European team was layed off today. More coming in the US in the next couple days sounds like.
