Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

Risk Engineering

Any word on the reductions of the engineering side? Especially the commercial property risk engineering team.

Two “box ticking” promotions in the US engineering management team in the past year, both of them out of their depth with limited experience and no new ideas. Feels like we’re 10 years behind most of our peers and going nowhere.

Interesting to see that Zurich have copied the now defunct AIG client risk solutions concept with their originally named “ZRS” and there are a lot of people walking out of the door there.

I’ve seen some interesting management changes in the past year and they’re continuing to change the top, which in turn will change the bottom. There will be a restructuring I believe sometime soon.

Why? Property premiums rates are skyrocketing due to catastrophic events, I'm actually seeing more investements on the line of business, did you heard differently?
