Regent flat out lied to Zulily staff. Told them they had 60 days but then chopped them days before Christmas. They will do the same thing to us. I wonder if they are paying any of our contractors or if our software will just one day not work; https://www.geekwire.com/2023/its-just-infuriating-online-retailer-zulily-flip-flops-now-plans-to-lay-off-employees-amid-holidays/

More cuts are coming until the end of time.
This is not true. A notification period isn’t required and no severance will be paid out. Enjoy the Holidays because more cuts are coming in January.
The company can cut on the first day of notification. However, those laidoff would still get paid for 60 days without working and also health insurance since they would still be employees of the company. Many companies are doing this for safety and security reasons.
After the 60 days, on the 61st day, the employee can start collecting unemployment. Make sure you call unemployment and find out what paperwork you need from the company before your 60 days with the company are over. You may need a letter of proof of layoff, and other letters from the company. So call unemployement office and companies HR office. Also look into TAA program. https://www.nj.gov/labor/career-services/education-training/taa/
