Thread regarding Raytheon Co. layoffs

Glad I left right before the "Friendly Merger"

Well the upside is that due to current events you're probably ok if your on a missile production gig. Outside of that is fair game. With the looming recession who knows what will happen.
In the past they'll make mini layoff around holidays (under the 500 mark?) so word doesn't get around.
I left before the merger was made official (thank goodness), as I had been through merger before. What I learned is there is no such thing as a merger or "friendly merger". When they start trying to add language like that its just lube for the ankle grabbing you'll be doing in the future.

The stench, the incompetence and the toxicity of the failed Canadian operations were well-known.

Last entry is very accurate and true. Management was full of deception. And they were serial liars.

Very nasty, very treacherous people in management there. Anyone who looks too intelligent, asks too many questions, or is much beyond age 40 or so will be quickly slammed down and conveniently ushered out at some point.

I absolutely agree. I retract that Merger Statement below. You are correct. It was a Takeover. I left before the Takeover. I retired in 2019. After 40 years of employment.

Was NEVER a "merger". Was always a takeover. Many believed the spin

I agree. I also left before the merger. I retired in 2019. After completing 40 years of service there.
