Massive lay offs on all locations in the US. Managers in tears firing top performers engineers. Years of experience and training wasted in just a few days to keep the stock value high? What about their ethics? They claim to be the most ethical company in the world and they use their HR to lay off people by setting up "Training with HR" calendar appointments... Some groups were decimated, I guess other companies can take over some of their business in RF, Sensors, Analog you name it... I do not know how they justified such massive number of employees laid off to several states, to their customers that will face major delays and to the government specially when semiconductor employees should be protected.

Managers are easy to replace, specialized engineers not that much and top performers are just a few. It gives a bad image of this company, business or not, to layoff top performers, and on top of that, to do so in such unethical ways
So this "manager" is replying the other guy is all about business, cant be true when you guys are hiring in other parts of the world. Well, maybe he will change his mind when he is swapped by a manager in Asia (NXP is hiring in Asia, just google it). It is funny Dogeatdog how you didnt mention a thing about NXP HR lying to their employees as the other guy mentioned, it just shows your ethical way of doing things my man
Just business my man. I had to let go some people in my division to cut back on costs. Nothing personal. If your bonus was tied to lowering costs you would do the same.
