Hughes had a 10 percent reduction layoffs in October 2022. I was one of them being an employee of 18 years and my direct manager who was there 25 years. Second reduction of layoffs came Feb 2024 ( also 10 percent ). When new CEO for Echostar came in things really started going downhill. No warnings. 2 Months Severance after 18 years. All done in one day.

As far as I know. All in the same day. Rumors are flying that they leveraged more than they had.
To the person who said they had been with Hughes for 20 years, when were you let go? Are you saying that there was a second 10% reduction in March, the first being in February?
I was with Hughes for nearly 20 years. Got the axe. This is the second 10% reduction in force I am aware of.
Did it seem across the board/general cost cutting; or did it more related to which teams might be duplicated given the dish merger?
Were they all notified today? Or would it get carried over the next few days?
Which departments/offices/projects were hit? Can we expect more over the coming days? No WARN notice was filed?
