I worked for Comcast over 13 years, did absolutely everything they asked of me. They were good to me. Things were great even after the onset of the pandemic, working from home. Then things changed…the company put all their eggs in one fu---d up basket. It was the implementation of S4X and no longer giving a sh-t. We were one step away from being an automated service, in my opinion. Customer service was more like “tell me all your problems, get all your sh-t off your chest.” And just when the customer least expects or needs to be offered anything they’re forced into xfinity mobile. I was laid off because I can’t shove sh-t down your throat, especially the beginning or even middle of a pandemic. I made too much money, therefore I had to go. I got rid of all my Comcast services once no more gratis account. Too fu--ing expensive. For once I agree with customers.

Yup. Been there. Done that. Managers promote and retain their favorites and regardless of their productivity. One REALLY good resource I found on staying above office politics is The Hatchet Man's Playbook. Best of luck!
I'm sorry that happened to you. You are not alone. I hope that you are doing better than ever.
