It is true. No expensing anything at all. No off site meals, nothing. No booze the first night. Beer and wine only. Cheap airfare thru Carlson. And get this, meetings AFTER awards and Phollies on Friday - full day. Most people had to leave on Saturday, completely ruining their weekend, especially for those who live on the east coast. Good times.

I have it on good authority that it was far more buttoned up this year. The goal was really give the sales team sales training (versus the typical product feature dumps that make up usual NSM sessions).

Allegedly they did everything possible to keep people on premise for meals, drinks etc and people were NOT allowed to expense drinks at the bar.

Whether that happened is another story

NSM=National Sales Meeting. It's inconveniently held right after New Years each year, for selected sales sycophants to drink themselves to oblivion, make complete and utter fools of themselves, and try to stay awake during the day to pretend to give a hoot about the insufferably boring "new product" introductions concocted by the horsepucky-shoveling marketeers.
