This could help for the mass layoff easily.

Man, do you really work for Aig??? they can barely make the IT infrastructure work, you really are overstimating them. If necessary, they can naturally have full access to your emails and chats and web browsing history but to think that they have put in place some plan to control us all on a daily basis through AI is hilarious... They don't even monitor what the fu-k you do when you are working from home! in other insurance companies, I know that the monitoring while working from home is very strict and that they verify the clicks of the mouse and the keystrokes to determine if you are actually doing something, in AIG they catch you going on holidays while WFH only if you stop answering teams/calls/emails for days and post trip photos on linkedin!! The monitoring is left to your manager, it's his responsibility to check on you. They tried to filter the outgoing messages to catch things that should have been crypted but they had to shut down the system right away because it was a total failure... If they could make AI work, they would replace us, not control us!
Oh for God's sake, of course they are monitoring everything. THEY TELL YOU SO RIGHT AFTER YOU LOG IN EVERYDAY. Do you just think that scroll of legalese saying anyone using this computer is subject to monitoring and has no right to expect privacy?? Seriously its even stated in the Employee Handbook.
L3 here again. I found this site before I joined the company and I check in every once in a while to see if there is any news that I didn’t know of. I’ve never spoken to anyone about anything I’ve read here, that’s just not my place.
Accenture could have helped deploying bots for monitoring. They are very capable of doing it.
L3 saying nobody monitoring messages. The L3 posting a message here says two things:
- L3 is not a L3 as they claim
- L3 posting as anonymous on a anonymous site is here for monitoring which proves that they are indeed monitoring messages.
Technology is so advanced you never know what upper management has told the managers. You better be careful and well behaved if you cannot find a job outside but have to stay in this company.
L3? If that's true I'm speechless. I've told my management about this site but I never thought it would make it's way up that far. I guess it's plausible...
L3 here and I’ve never heard of any one monitoring employees’ messages.
Teams is being monitored. I know for a fact! The other stuff...no idea.
Again mass layoffs have happened here for easily 15 years. This isn't new to business or AIG. This isn't a new "trend" that requires fancy tech or explanation.
Most people who wind up on the list were good to excellent employees. They just lived in an expensive location or their roles were outsourced or someone (even someone higher up or who doesn't know them) put their name on a list when confronted with a demand to hit a number of cuts.
It isn't complicated.
All messaging absolutely is available and can be accessed if there is a reason.
I don't know of any manager with access to monitor their teams email or teams messaging much less have the time (or interest) to do so.
Some of you are going to be shocked if you become managers and expect to actually have control and influence.
Every response to this string is inaccurate and frankly ludicrous. No, management is not monitoring your Teams messages, AI is not being used to monitor your messages. Copilot is not enabled on our Teams Tenant.
Why would you start and state such bull$&@&?
There was a reason to they said no Generative AI but are secretly using teams to monitor employees as open AI is integrated with Teams, Microsoft and Excel through the Microsoft Copilot tool. You might think management is old headed infact they are using AI massively to plan on laying off people.
Teams is monitored by managers and above. This is a fact. You put it Teams, it is seen.....period.
Wut?
Aig has been doing mass layoffs for at least 15 years.
There is no conspiracy. There is no secret tech. There is no secret formula.
This is standard operating procedure and it isn't that deep.
That said there is no private communication at work.
Any communication that occurs on company equipment or systems belongs to the company and can be accessed. This happened everywhere long long before AI was close to mainstream.
Act as if it is monitored and it doesn't matter either way.
