Deloitte becomes latest professional services firm to reduce headcount amid huge global restructure

Deloitte has made a “small number of redundancies” across the firm’s national operations, following suit from its fellow Big Four peers and on the back of a major restructure.

A Deloitte spokeswoman said on Monday the job cuts had been in response to “significant structural shifts in client need and demand”, although it is not clear how many heads are going to roll.

This is funny…. I was not impacted yet but have only been here a few years. I do know this Noemie person from a deal she spoke at for a town hall. I remember thinking how the heck does this person make it at Deloitte and keep getting elevated. She is in a word terrible.

What’s amazing is how so many poor performing partners have survived. We literally move or promote people to larger roles who are terrible people and awful for our culture. I guess if you’re someone like a Noemie Tilgham and you have pictures on someone you keep moving up. The entire practice literally had a party when she finally left the Energy and Chems practice. How many good people could be saved if we got rid of the dead weight like her… tell me please big D?!?!?
