Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

Rumor 1,000 more layoffs soon to come; SS needs to be transparent about USA impact

This is rumor from a well-connected source. At least people aren’t learning about it first at a Goldman Sachs forum. Hey does that mean more USA jobs can be shipped to China etc. and cr-ppy vendors so the exec team can buy yet more lavishness? It’s time the jobs of their sons, daughters, spouses, etc. get offshored too for cheaper wages.

There's a lot of questionable people that are just acting and not really producing. I've seen this more often from top. These folks are placed into positions to lead teams but can't even manage their way out of a paper bag. I recall one person getting work done as quickly as possible but due to her incompetence lost the company hundred of thousands of dollars each year. She ended up getting promoted to a VP. I'm not sure if the company ever found how much money they were loosing or only a select few that are aware kept it hush-hush since I was so angry and left to join another team.

These actors put on a 'performance' and use their level of power to blame their mistakes on other teams. When they run out of teams to blame they pick the lowest-ranking person on their team as a scapegoat. This is how these actors survive layoffs and get promoted.

The interesting question the workers would love to know .
Is since the 20 year yearly layoffs of low to mid level workers.

Why does the company still need useless Vice Presidents. MD, Senior Vice Presidents.
If you don't have a staff to managed , duties to perform. Then its time to do some serious cutting at the TOP.

I knew of a Executive who after his dept was phased out had nothing to do.
But being part of the Club he was given make believe duties until he retired 3 years later. Members of the club will always be protected by their powerful friends

Layoffs need to offset the multi million dollar sign on bonuses.

I can help clarify: Our US jobs get shipped to India. Any 'high-level' work are assigned to vendors that are buddy-buddy with the executives and board of directors. They meet periodically to talk about pseudo work. It's all for show.

Also, its impossible that executives' spouses and children have jobs to outsource at the company since they don't even work. Instead they get paid for existing.
