Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

When are these supposed layoffs going to happen?

So many posts from people confirming some sort of mass layoff is supposed to be happening post STI. Well, STI's have been paid so when can we expect these layoffs to occur? Anyone with any real info & not just rumors?

Post ID: @azgu+1rnjTdjf This is true. And then there's a Poster(s) here that constantly says, "We paid back the $185 Billion with interest." and say that AIG did the Government and Taxpayers a favor by giving them an additional $25 Billion. The oblivious, out of touch with reality Dvnce can Not brain-process the fact that AIG should Not and Never have needed to scam and borrow $185 Billion from Taxpayers to begin with IF AIG had heeded warnings and reigned in its risky financial transactions and products, AIG may not have caused the Recession of 2008 the after-effects of which still reverberate today! AIG became the Poster P!g for what Not to do and how Not to run a business ! $185 Billion is Not only a few hundred measly million dollars. It's the GDP of several countries around the world ! But let AIG keep thinking and believing that it did the Taxpayers and World favors. That line of "thinking" is exactly what got AIG in its AIG-P!G Sh!t Pen in the first place. Hopefully, this time around the AIG Titanic will finally sink ! LOL !!!

Post ID: @btvd+1rnjTdjf Another AIG genius. A Lifesaver is a round balloon with a hole in the middle for the person being saved to go into. Just like a doNUT. A Life Jacket is a vest.

Post ID: @azgu+1rnjTdjf The Anti-AIG Mass Protests were worse than the current GF Protests after the Minnesota P!GS ki-led GF. The Anti-AIG Protests are what gave birth to the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) Organisations that exist today worldwide. P!GS all over the world and especially NYPD have had to pay out hundreds of millions of dollars to settle civil lawsuits since they as--ulted Protesters !

Post ID: @ztn+1rnjTdjf Never say AIG Titanic never. if it was not for the U.S. Government and Taxpayer Bailout of $185 Billion Dollars, AIG would NOT exist today. If you read history and news, or IF you can read, there were Mass Protests against bailing out AIG with so much money and AIG only wasted it on its C-Suite Executive with CEO Benmosche getting a $100 Million salary + perks (private plane, etc.), and others got several millions in payouts, the Same MotherFvckers who caused AIG and the World Economy to collapse to begin with!!! This was like giving the Ars0nist who torched your house, lighter fluid and a match so he can finish the job of burning down the rest of the neighborhood !!! When NOT If AIG needs another Bailout, the Public and the U.S. Government will (hopefully) NOT help and throw AIG a Lifesaver/Life Jacket again. Let the AIG Titanic fail and sink like it should have 16 years ago ! ROTFLMFAO !!!

I agree with the below comments. I have not seen anything looking like layoffs ATM. I have gone through many cuts in my years here and I have survived. Being a FTE, there is just very few of us left. Maybe we have reached terminal velocity with FTE layoffs.....but....the trust is just gone.

Companies would like to Fire all employees and make money with AI... That was also AIG idea with accenture, First part of the plan was to move stuff to accenture and then to use automation to reduce the head count...You wish!!! Accenture makes money with Aig they don't care about reducing costs. It's like hiring a lawyer to determine how to reduce legal expenses...
In any case, most of the rumors here are totally baseless. Sure they have this AIG next put in place that is some plan to reduce costs, but at the moment the most expensive and fruitless project is Accenture partnership, where they cost a lot and give back a below mediocre service ... In accenture, like in any consultancy firm, turnover is very high, everytime some of theirs leave the new one knows nothing about the job and they seems absolutely not cabale of training them, so it's AIG that has to train new guys from scratch again and again and again. If they want to reduce costs they can just kick accenture out ..

The people rumoring about mass layoffs are most likely just bored trolls. One frequent poster apparently “retired” from AIG years ago but still patrols this site to fear monger. You can tell it’s the same person because of their typing cadence. Weird.

If you listened to those people, AIG would’ve gone under years ago and the company is apparently about to go bankrupt haha.
