Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Boeing IT India

Who else thinks Boeing is getting what i coming to them, after laying off a bunch of IT workers in Puget Sound, hiring a bunch in SC, then hiring a bunch of scrubs in India -- and then surprise, laying off the SC workforce after the no dikki Nikki tax cuts for hiring stopped in 2020.

Boeing's trajectory was well orchestrated for the last decade to benefit a select few. Anyone depending on a Boeing career for much longer is a fool.

India is only good for taking complaint calls on customer complaint lines. Understanding them is another matter. This is going to be fun to watch.

Yep! In BGS they've been laying off IT folks in US/Canada since March... and EU layoffs are hitting soon. Meanwhile, management have hired $300 p/h US-based consultants to the tune of several million dollars (YTD).
Alllllll in the hopes that India IT/Dev teams will take on these IT projects development, implementation and operations. Many of which are woefully unprepared and unequipped for this, despite saying yes to everything, and there is little oversight and accountability to correct anything until things are so bad that nobody can make sense of anything.

It's an expensive recipe for disaster which is obviously going to fail, that has already upended the lives of decent laid-off IT engineers and demotivated remaining engineers so much that the best people have since left and mostly mediocre ones are remaining. The outcome will be projects that can't be recovered and will be canned, leading to more layoffs. Or, tens of millions more dollars wasted on extending US-based consultants to sustain projects once it's obvious outsourcing anything and everything to India STILL DOESN'T WORK!!!

"The white collar corporate criminals never figured in a million years they would start an implosion of our company."
They probably knew and didn't care. They were going to get theirs, shovel the rest up to fraud street, and then move on. Welcome to managed decline while the top profit or collect.

It’s ALL catching up to them! Corruption being exposed on all level…. Unfortunately, many employees at Boeing will be impacted and unemployed, it’s only a matter of time before it comes crashing in on them harder. Suggest getting out while you can and try find other employment
