Just had a last minute meeting with our team lead, more layoffs around the company today. Seems at least 15-20 around three departments in enGen, another 30-50 in multiple other departments in the org at large. They’re really drilling down to reduce headcount at this point. Maybe some executives will be next? We can only hope!

All your PHI info is for all to see since it’s in the Philippines and India, including the Providers SSN - where they live and their license info! They will terminate the Providers for any reason at any time! It’ll take months to recredential or reinstate them! The members info is up for grabs as well - Thryve is located in India and the Philippines and no info is encrypted or blacked out! This would be the identity theft at its finest! Highmark puts off paying claims till just before 6 month fines kick in! They use coding, billing, Tax info, locations or anything they can drum up to hold off payment! And they do it to their own employees! Food for thought!
Someone needs to contact states and news and unions about the offshore access
Thryve (at least the devs) definitely has access to the data. It would be insanely easy for a dev or tester over there to get access to PHI. If they now have Thryve as part of operations/customer service that's just another weak point, too. Bonehead move by Highmark.
After being let go after 38 years this is the norm. I was told by a Senior VP that it is no longer if you are let go, but rather when you will be left go.
It is now every month or two. And the incompetent people are kept and some get promoted. 🤦🏻♂️
the layoffs are not random, managers are being asked to rate employees and provide the info to directors and VPs who are making conscious decisions.
How many jobs were lost in Buffalo yesterday? I know my boss was let go but haven't heard if there were others.
Thryve needs to be in the news.
I feel like the organization is putting members at a massive risk by having all this information spread across the globe. India is the world’s biggest exporter of identity theft. They say there are tight controls, but how many of them work from home? So much access to so much PII/PHI and all it takes is one bad egg to breach thousands of names and identities. This will not end well for Highmark. You can’t ‘transform healthcare’ from another country.
What departments were affected? This is not the Highmark, I started working for 25 years ago. This violates all of the so-called core beliefs.
Nope! Wouldn’t hold my breath on that. More cuts to come. All the way up until the July mtg with Tom Doran. I know some ppl that got cut today. This is sad. What’s even worse is it’s just getting started. Thryve is the new Highmark.
