Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

You think your voice matters?.....think again.....

For all of us who have toiled at the big O for years and years and were told that our opinions mattered and we could all let our voices be heard via ESOP, ESPP, Equity Plans all of which were our vehicle "to have a say" in the company.

Well, 52% of Big O stock is owned by just 3 investors.

LE is holding 42% of shares, The Vanguard Group, Inc. has 5.5% and BlackRock, Inc. holds 4.5%. Do you think there is any collusion here?? ( of course not.. -:)

But do not be dissuaded and keep filling out those Shareholder proxies, the post office can use the money.

The break is coming for sure. Hopefully within a month, there will be news. Looks like the loner the wait, the longer the break. Thought it would be 12 but looks like it going to more like 20. Think of it as a paid retirement plan.

Shiny object syndrome (SOS) is a continual state of distraction brought on by an ongoing belief that there is something new worth pursuing. It often comes at the expense of what's already planned or underway.

Others have been caught through the years, hiding behind Oracle to steal and abuse others for personal reasons. They were told to leave and were dealt with quietly, losing benefits for restitution, complying with the rule of law to the full extent. No one is exempt.

are you 12? they are corporations, all of them use the same corp speak. corporation cares only about own profits, they are no capable of caring about anything in principle. they don't care about your voice, they don't care about trans rights, they don't care about environment, they don't care about cute puppies.

I did those surveys for 10-15 years. Legit nothing changed. Just something to tell the worker bees we care....when we dont. Oracle mgmt is trash. Plain and simple. And really. Mentally and physically, look at them. My one manager at O looked like he had one leg in the casket and he was younger than me. Why? All that abuse took a toll on him. Being a dirtbag will come back to haunt you.

It’s sad to have to fear mgmt repercussions for telling the truth on a survey. Crimes committed against Oracle and hardworking employees need to be stopped. 3rd party group directed to go public with details ASAP.

The very reason corrupt mid mgmt needs to be cleaned up. Nasty employee abuse, nasty stealing employees work for self gain, nasty firing hard working employees to self bonus comes with a price which will be decided by a court of law.

Shedding light on this setup where just 3 entities control all decisions for the company is important to be aware of.      It's called "Shareholder Capitalism" where the interests of one or a few shareholders dominate over all others.

Big O like all other companies operates with the sole purpose of maximizing profits and returning the highest possible dividends to shareholders.   When this power is consolidated to just a few,  the entire workforce is at jeopardy and  decisions can and will be made solely in the interest of just these 3 shareholders and nobody else.  Without adequate  employee representation on the Board or a Unionized workforce, we are all at risk all the time.

Friends, we work in  a very dangerous environment.

Oracle is 80% politics and nasty humans and 20% tech and hard workers. Granted there are nasty people all over, but many of the worst I came across in my time there. Appalling human beings. Human being a stretch. The worst for me was seeing people with zero technical capabilities making life really hard for strong tech people. Just sad.

It wouid be wise for corrupt mid level mgmt to listen to major Corp investors re: anti employee abuse.

In his 2022 annual letter, Fink said, “Stakeholder capitalism is not about politics. It is not a social or ideological agenda. It is not 'woke.'” Citing increased employee turnover over in 2021, Fink called on CEOs to treat their employees well.

He added, “Our research shows that companies who forged strong bonds with their employees have seen lower levels of turnover and higher returns through the pandemic.” Home Depot might be a good example of this considering it invested $1 billion in 2023 to increase employee hourly wages, CNBC reported, and is rated adequately by workers.

I love that a ton of wimp b-ms from oracle HR or mgmt found my last post and voted it down. Awwwwwwwe. Feelings hurt? Look in the mirror. You are not only hated, you’re laughed at. Losers.

I mean. Look at this site....all the ex-Oracle people....the theme is all the same. In the old days when you spoke bad about your current or prior emsployer, you were labeled disgruntled. Today you're a whistleblower. To me, you should take pride in speaking the truth and leaving the company. There are so many who sold their soul and left all their morals at the door to work there. Granted there are good people there. None are in mgmt or HR. It's sad. I just couldn't come to the end of my life and know I was such a piece of trash.

I never heard anyone with over 5 years of Oracle experience saying they were proud to work there. I just looked at an old colleague who does a job a 13 year old could do. 9 years in the same role. I left years ago, but I'm like, how can you even do this for 9 years. You're legit just wasting your life. Oracle doesn't care about employees, shareholders or people in general. It cares about one thing....money. It took me a long time to realize how bad it was until I had people as examples of human filth managing me. Some of the most immoral, trashy, sc-mbag people I ever came across. The funniest thing.....they had as many technical skills as kids at the local middle school. Recently I saw a guy who ran the concessions desk at AMC got hired as a "Sr Impl Project Manager". I'm sorry. Place is a dumping ground of trash and incompetence.

Oracle could care less about anyone. It’s an awful place to work at. The amount of butt-kissing at Oracle is beyond ridiculous. Not to mention that supposed “executives “ like Safra are a joke in the industry.

I left Oracle years ago and have never looked back. I now work at a company that values its employees, treats them with respect, and provides generous pay raises. I would never return to Oracle.

Just speak the truth on the employee survey.

  • My manager is awesome.
  • The Company is wonderful!
  • Corporate goals are clear and consistent.
  • Salary and promotions are evenly distributed based upon performance.
  • I am happy in my work!

@ Cool.. what does this have to do with layoffs...

Well, maybe we start by seeing that the decisions about the future of O (and it's employees) rest in the hands of just 3 entities.

So when they want to dial up better returns via cost savings ( aka "layoffs).... pretell, my friend,, exactly who is there to stop them? Get it...?

Employees, investors, employee benefits and especially corrupt mid mgmt all part of the layoff equation. If you don’t get it then, you are part of the problem.

….or you can write a letter to Larry Fink at Black Rock, he likes the fact that he is the most powerful individual on Wall Street.
The Federal Reserve seeks his advice and has for many years.
He doesn’t take kindly of individuals that take advantage of Big Corp stealing from the company that feeds the theft. It doesn’t matter how small, he likes to know. Even tho, he is almost retired, he of course is very involved n details and will continue. .

It is definitely LE's show and we are just the puppets on strings and if we don't like it, then take our peanuts and depart.

Now get back to work.....!
