Anyone who’s been laid off actually receive their severance?

One of my colleagues that was laid off end of June still has not received severance and apparently Allstate has until the end of August to pay it. Also heard that they have found some reasons to NOT pay severance on individual case by case basis.
My co-worker was given her 60-day notice end of May when the last batch of layoffs occurred in for Legal Dept. She’s still not gotten her promised severance pay. Her last day of work was 2 1/2 weeks ago.
Again, what is a crime of abuse?
What is a crime of abuse?
I'm sure a company that has committed so many crimes of abuse and violated so many labor laws and insurance laws and gotten away with it has their legal ducks in a row. And all legal loopholes covered with their sleazy corporate lawyers.
Do you have any idea how many millions of dollars they would lose in lawsuits if they ignored their documented severance program?
From what I've been told, ANI give their people a slightly better chance. A more lucrative deal for early release or an option to be allowed 60 days to get another job within the company with a lesser deal. They are also paid more than legally required for each year of employment in the deals. However, as someone else already said, there's no advertized jobs showing for ANI so early release looks to be best choice. I've lost many ANI colleagues already :(
The added benefit of Allstate India is that Allstate rewards yes people who don't argue. So for $10/hour you get a work force who will work 24/7/365 on whatever hare brained deadlines the big boys have financially incented for themselves, under asinine governance and control and won't argue at all about it. With the middle management layer of apple polishers painting the big boys a rosy picture of the company.
Big win for Zulfi and Kamal.
I believe in Northern Ireland they don't have much of a severance program but the company has to pay them for like 3-4 months after they are left go....almost like a much longer notice than 60 days. But I think they can get something like unemployment for redundancy release insurance.
What severance do they pay in ANI?
Our entire department was let go last week to Allstate India. Soon the entire company will be known as Allstate India while the fat cats in NA line their pockets with American profits. What a CROCK!
It’s the slow roll off shore. ANI is bye bye. Gonna take some time, but Allstate India is a patient org. As soon as they can, everything will be south of the border of the US and not in Ireland as y’all too expensive there too. We are transforming to the lowest cost digital provider. The more employees they can replace at $10 max per hour the better for the
stock and for the executives. The working class jobs are no more around here. All they need is a digital presence and offshore voices and the fat cats of course.
ANI used to have pages of jobs each week. Over the last few months there has been SFA.
Looking on the career section there doesnt seem to be a single job open in ANI. Seems to be mostly India, US & Mexico. Is ANI in trouble?
As an example, people let go in Oct. 2023 were paid through Dec. 11, 2023 (60-day notice). All severance and leftover PTO was paid by end of 2023. If there is another Oct. purge this year, they will likely follow a similar pattern to get everything off the books in 2024.
Yes, let go as of Oct 2023 group.
You will get it 30-45 days after your 60 day notice expires.
