The number released is 12,500. Or 10%. But also reported it could be higher.
so what was the number? Haven't heard too much about the layoff other than what has been posted. It's been quiet in Hopkinton. What gives?
Kinda like that guy who kept saying "no company has ever laid off more in followup rounds and stayed in business" or whatever. Clown. Disappeared a while ago.

Was wondering the same thing. We should also add the "Daily Troll" who essentially cut and paste the same comment telling the ex-Dell people who were still visiting the site to quit scare mongering, and that Dell wasn't going to hire them back. Perhaps they also had an unexpected 1x1 scheduled today and are part of the "1% they touted" as being impacted today?
Appears to be closer to 15% at the "lower" levels within Dell and an absolute hammering of management in Upper levels (closer to 30%) as a complete flattening of the org structure occurs under the thinly veiled title of "re-org" for press purposes.
HR was too busy to even be on my call. They just emailed my after my manger was done. I preferred that, made for a much better call. Professional Services, Deploy org.
