Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

When are they and announcing the pay raise

The Veeps have taken their money.

Another quarters results have been announced, the forward guidance has steadied the figures.

What excuse is left to delay an announcement? Were coming up to September, do these people have any intention of paying people?

The moral of the story is its ok to mislead and lie in DXC, the management do it every year.

And its good for the Execs to look out for themselves, no need to work as a team.

Rauls famous last word "when i visit sites what i see is that your all doing amazing, but we are the only deserving ones, so we are taking your money"

DXC has never given merit pay increases to all that met or exceeded goals except for a select few. I got a merit increase in 2009 for less than 1% and another one in 2022 for less than 4%. That’s after I always met or exceeded my goals and every project manager wanted me on there project because I got things done and almost never said that’s not my job

Every year that we don't get a raise. They loose some good staff and the ones who stay vow to do less. After 10 years it's near impossible to get anything done, and the corporate machine only seems interested in paperwork.

The company offer no reward for a job well done. And seemingly has no consequences for those who don't seem to know how to do their job, and make no effort. What annoys me most is that DXC are quite happy to pay those people more because they joined later than I did.

They have budgeted for employee merit reviews this year and then taken the money for themselves, on top of the massive amounts they are taking.

Employees sc--wed over every year losing inflation plus on pay.

Then they expect staff to re train, deliver, go above and beyond.

How deluded they are.
What a bunch of cowboys.

@3qkj+1tYWL1eW "The sad fact is that Raul said earlier in the year on a Town Hall that they had budgeted this year for merit increases."
Wrong, what he said was that they had "budgeted for a merit increase review".
So this was deliberately said as a mislead, meaning that they would look but not react only to give themselves more cash.
Any sense of trust with the execs has well and truly gone. They do not abide by the company's code of conduct, lie like cheap Japanese watches on any advertising for jobs on link**n by saying that they look after their employees and more.
Unfortunately at my age I am finding it near impossible to get another job away from Dixie.

The sad fact is that Raul said earlier in the year on a Town Hall that they had budgeted this year for merit increases.

Shame his trying to play the asame game as Sally leading people on then lying not to pay the budgeted raises. Every town hall they say we are hearing you on pay, then they ignore it and come up with all sorts of excuses to delay payment.

The is no trust on integrity with this management of VP leaders.

Senior management on millions of dollars pay seem to lack any empathy or consideration to employees coping with the cost of living increases, while at the same time expecting employees to work harder to build the business. I couldn't say it better than Cher's song lyrics 'Not enough love and understanding', when it comes to senior management. Many, many years without pay rises is having a substantial effect on the reduced buying power of people's salaries. Also I think it's reasonable for employees who work hard to expect to rewarded for their efforts. Going the extra mile for this company brings no extra rewards but rather a reduction in the spending power of wages year on year. There are a lot of companies offering remote working so maybe it's not too difficult to switch to a decent employer. Looking at the track record of this company with year on year on no pay rises and the lack of concern for employees welfare shown by senior management I doubt there will ever be any pay rises in the future, unless you're on the senior management team, but that goes without saying.

The company will always gaslight you with "maybe next year" or "there is no budget for that now" or "wait for the next year performance review"... Thats why you should change companies after 2 or 3 years to get a proper pay rise. New hire budgets are always larger than retention budgets. On top of that your skills will not stagnate like if you stay in same company for same pay for few years.

While the company continues to completely disrespect the knowledge and talents of staff who've been with the company for more than a year it stands no hope of a turn around. Unless it really does just want to start again from scratch. But why the heck would you call it DXC if you were planning a new startup.

I was told 3rd quarter raises "might" be looked at. It will be the same story when 3rd quarter rolls around and it's the same story where I am. New people are being brought in at a higher rate than most.

@fpe+1tYWL1eW Many colleagues have tried to exceed goals for years now, and have seen absolutely nothing for it for the best part of 10 years. While those who do sod all and can't be bothered are getting exactly the same. That's why people have given up

@amt+1tYWL1eW There should NEVER be cost of living increases, if you want a pay increase then work for it and meet or exceed your goals !

Like many colleagues. I've already quit. Just that I've not left yet. Meanwhile they are hiring in new people to replace already lost colleagues on more money (market rate). I'd have un-quit for less, but they just can't see it, or have backed themselves into this 0% policy and now cannot or won't undo it.

Unlikely to be one.

The 'our people are our greatest asset' spiel is just that spiel. They don't give a flying fck about you.

People leave or are made redundant and they get cheaper people in, either off shore or replace experienced people with grads.

So do what you need to do in response to that.

The bold bully hasnt got a clue, his always "on the sky", and checking out Shelli.

If the rest of the folks don't deserve anything then how does Mary get hers for 3 emails a year?

Merit increases cannot be justified. Most staff are useless. The ones who aren't useless who haven't left probably won't. So no need to pay em. Classic DXC.

Quick answer: No.
Longer answer: they've already said on a town all (Cameron Art?) there will be no cost of living increases, only merit rises, if justified.
