Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

High pressure sales tactics

Verizon is resorting to high pressure sales tactics such as if you get this service, ill give you x amount off of your next bill. The higher ups integrity is in question. Since when did we focus inward on the customer just to make our numbers look good?

Sad state of business when you have to give customers money just to get a service you offer to make it seem as if people are actually buying it. Where is that fraud department again?

It's upsetting when you have to buy the customer to buy the service. I see it in my store too.

If you work for commissions, you gotta worry about your pocket first before you start worrying about everyone else.

It’s a damned if you do and a damned if you dont, start looking for a job because you’re going on a PIP kind of way. Times are tight and if you need to buy your paycheck, so be it.

This company wastes an egregious amount of money on nonsense (did you know Sr Directors and up got a nice little “retreat” all expenses paid in Florida this year?) Meanwhile the front line is struggling to make ends meet with ridiculous quotas and deteriorating tools and network to boot.

Leadership just looks down at us with a “Let them eat cake” attitude from their safe little perch in their Ivory Towers. Invest in the front line? Na, lets increase the goal post and continue to outsource. That’ll show’em, and any negative nancys are “below the line” and will be shown the door.

Eat the rich, if you ask me.
