Thread regarding Bose layoffs

Bose moving to 4 days in office, Friday flex day

I heard rumors that Bose is changing their Hybrid work model to 4 days in office and a Friday work from home day. Like all big corporations, Bose is moving toward an inoffice workforce. Anyone hearing this?

Everyone is returning to work. In about another year it will be about impossible to find any job where you don't have to go into the office at some point. Hybris is ideal, the constant whining about having to go back is pathetic. I enjoyed hybris before covid. You go in when you want and you stay home when you want. No rules

Amazon has announced its 5-day in office model. Many employees are complaining, some are threatening to leave and rethink working there. But in the end, Amazon pays well and most employees will go back to the 5-day work week. Amazon will not tolerate any employees that will not return. Amazon stated that productivity is the number 1 reason for going back to the office. CED should stop complaining and do whats best for Bose. This is the way!

Don’t worry they are laying off in September so not sure why people are complaining about back to office.

I have been with Bose since 2016. I have had to show up to work everyday. Including during COVID. There are people in this company like me who have shown up to work every day. The whining coming from everyone on the mountain about having to return is disgusting. One of the reasons why turned off my yammer feed.

I just read that 28% of the work force in looking for new jobs. The number 1 issue is Remote work is drying up and big Tech companies are quickly moving to back in the office only models. You can't blame Bose for being ahead of the game in becoming a more efficient company with a leaner work force.

I've been applying for Engineering jobs at several companies, and most hiring companies have moved to 4-day work week (in office). Mandatory. It's getting more difficult to find Flex Hybrid jobs that do not have this requirement.

"If you really want to see the direction the company is going check out Bose tik tok channel."

Maybe Bose should try Dylan Mulvaney as a spokesmodel?

DHL has taken over as the 3PL as of yesterday at Jeffersonville. Repair is moving to Reconext is Mexicali, Mexico. If you really want to see the direction the company is going check out Bose tik tok channel.

Interesting Bose is just coming around to this option. Many companies have found in product development that theres at least a 25% improvement in collaboration between teams and huge program efficiency on deliverables. The cost of business drops, and schedules are met. When dealing with manufacturing in Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia, we have found in office is just better.

I worked at Bose for 19 years before VEROing out. I think Bose would move to Atlanta to set up shop than change its current Hybrid model. The management seemed to always know what's best for Bose and not the employees..

My company has already made the decision to work 5 days in office. Some people refused and eventually quit. Some left, but for the most kept their jobs. Rehires have been actually more productive, very trainable, and feel lucky to have a great job. The others who left, almost all have tried to come back.... sad actually.

I am surprised there are still employees to still go into the office.

Wouldn’t be surprised, however Massachusetts started a pilot program offering tax credits to business who switched to a 4 day week without reducing pay. If they went this route with calling people in 4 days I’d tip my cap.

This decision will force some employees to leave on their own which maybe what Bose is hoping for in lue of layoffs.
