So this company has a pulse survey and the consensus is there's too many conference calls and they'll be pulling back... But less than a month later, my manager is in the office for 5 hours with the door closed. So was this really all bullsh-t and smoke up our as--s? Or was he in there doing nothing for hours while we're busy with bullsh-t?
Just my opinion

4cpr+1trDPQeI Obviously, as a VZw store manager,I see you have that us against them vz management philosophy. By the way it's not handfuls it's most of store ast mgrs that do nothing and walk away from responsibility (usually in the back room)and I've come across a lot in my time at Verizon. There's an integrity problem in mgmt,in my store it's downright corruption. We have one ast mgr feed his " friends"who he plays video games with and Sports bet with new lines, while shutting out other reps.I have one instance that he gave a multi line port to rep not even working. Soon after the " survey" we had a store meeting and was told our store had the lowest score in the zone.We were actually asked to talk about it,asked for feedback, then silence, .Retribution can be swift,so talk to Hr and your Dm lol. Regarding, reps running away from customers, if they do that and don't get to 80% to quota per month they are gone in 3mos. Reps in the stores should be told about this website to show what the store culture surely is.It is the beginning of a revolving door of the frontline if these working conditions continue.
I gave a bad pulse survey and got RIFed 3 weeks later: true story , careful what kind of feedback u provide, nothing is confidential; this hapened under Mr. ScottD in value GTS, be very carefull
Sorry, that is not how this works. Once the process has started it is unstoppable. There is not a start/stop component. The rest of our careers if we continue to stay will be filled with uncertainty. Layoffs, RIF’s, furloughs, outsourcing, offshoring and will be our constant companions. Senior management will be in the same position, so they’ll spend their time covering their behinds. We are soon to be on our own. This whole thing is a finely staged stage play out of the corporate playbook. Nothing is left to chance. They’ll gut the company, while not losing the hearts and minds of the employees, until we’re no longer needed. That’s how it works.
pulse survey is a bunch of wasted$$.VZ is paying employees or a whole dept to watch or observe whatever they do to the pulse survey answers ,for what.A complete waste, who ever came up with that pulse garbage should be fired
Listen, there are handfuls of managers that do absolutely nothing and rely on others successes as their own. But there are LOTS of reps who don’t do anything. The ones that go out back when they see a customer walking to the door. The ones who are always stirring the pot, the ones that get on here and complain about their managers. First off, if your manager su-ks, speak up to them and the DM and HR. Not here. I get it, I hate it too but do the right thing and speak up. It’s only going to get worse if you don’t.
This is all about appearing to be doing something, not actually doing anything. The business exists to grow and enrich middle management. Sorry you were lied to.
Midyears are such a pain, just leave me alone
Fk vzw fk the managers fk pso fk the Koolaid drinkers fk the id--tic customers
With RIF coming right after the VSP, no one gives a sh-t about the pulse survey because no one knows who is going to be left to do the work and the moral of course will tank. Pulse survey is a BIG JOKE.
Have you considered that your manager is not on conference calls, but working on midyears? It is that time of year you know.
I love how that's all they got from those surveys. They clearly aren't listening to the qualified employees any more.
It's all about appearances. The busier you look the busier you are. At the end of the day, its up to you to do work that actually makes you feel good or looks good on your resume.
