Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Removal of AR in house

Turns out the new AR reps are significantly behind collecting money for campuses and sending out invoices on time. Some campuses have an outstanding balance from 200k-600k and that’s just for a regular sized campus who’s to say about a larger campus is. If the company has about 1200 locations with an average 300k outstanding, that’s around 360M. If they would have kept the positions in house at stores with an annual labor cost for that position of 55k or so. That would have been about 66M for all the locations. While not having being in a whole with just AR collecting alone of 360M….

Nailed it.
Our sales are gonna royally su-k.
We've been constantly chasing our CM3 for book orders...SM ordering what books we need because we're sick of faculty bi--hing
We have had no Apple products either, customers complaining because their online orders aren't being fulfilled.
Nothing in store because D&H didn't ship, not even any decent school supplies from DS.
You only have to read Sl@ck to see others begging for stock to fulfill orders.

Can't sell what you don't have 😒

While there might have been some stores that were behind, mine wasn’t one of them. We now have 10x the AR balance. And with the CM3s we have way fewer books so yes sales are down. Oh and little GM replenishment. And no Apple computers because we are on credit holds. Don’t blame the field for declining sales. This is all OTC and their horrible strategies.

Interesting… you say that but were you told that the AR team brought in 107 million more dollars than the previous year with only 19 people? No you weren’t. In fact in June we brought in 10% more than the previous June. So you’re whole notion that it was working better in the stores is mute. It wasn’t working in the stores. We inherited campuses that have AR accounts that WERE NEVER BILLED, most specifically government accounts, which unless it’s VA at this point, is not collectible unless we go through the courts. We are not behind like EK wants to make you think we are. Bills aren’t getting paid because sales are down. I can guarantee having AR out of the store was the best decision this company could have made because it’s way better off now than it was before.

Let me just say being on the AR team has been no cake walk. Funny how most AR was already a jacked up mess and 18 people are supposed to fix 700 stores. That's hilarious since the consultant firm said they would need 100 people to do all stores. One Team my a-s. Thanks for the support....NOT!!!!

Our AR rep is the most useless person I've ever met. Give me ten extra payroll hours a week so I'm not a fu--ing cashier all day and let me do my own AR.
