Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Does Oracle have a noncompete clause?

Thinking of taking a job at a different software company. I've been working for the big O. for a few decades now and was wondering if there is a noncompete clause and if so, how would I go about finding it without asking my manager?

Non-competes are now generally unenforceable except for certain executive positions in the US.

Don’t worry, Oracle is not competitive with them anyways!

Depends on your country. In many European countries non-competes are illegal and even you are sign it - it's null and void.

If there's such a clause, it will be in your offer letter.
