Just saw DTV has ~15k employees. Wondering how many employees there were in 2022. Are there actually less employees after the annual/bi-annual/more frequent layoffs? Or, are they just rehiring cheaper labor and getting rid of the knowledgeable?

Well according to LinkedIn, they just grew headcount sr. mgmt by +6 (+1% headcount in last 6 months) and cr-p ton of internship openings. looks like they are filling the headcount privately for sr. mgmt as I never saw these AVP+ positions.
Suspicious they are still hiring upper management when they could be hiring people to do the actual work rather than twiddle their fingers and ride the existing employees to the bone. They are getting rid of the worker bees and hiring 1 L3+ instead of 2-3 L2 and below. I guess the interns compensate for the expensive labor.
I saw all the intern openings. They're trying to get work for low wage. They are always posting ghost openings for software developers too which get taken down after a few days.
Seems like they just lay off the long-timer lower levels. Hardly see much change directors and above. Seems like they can save 2 worker bees for every one upper management personnel ESPECIALLY since management is the one that is helping navigate towards the iceberg.
Depends on what you read. I saw it was just 10k employees. Not sure if they are including contractors.
Let's put it this way: the career board maybe has 5 open positions across orgs but like 15 intern openings!!!
