Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

The dreaded word!

Reorganization!

When I first joined Oracle I was told that the one thing that would be constant was change! I now realize that this would be manifested in a reorganization.

It comes, as sure a Spring follows Winter, that every few months the seasons change and a new reorganization is announced.

I am not sure if this is driven by a change in policy, or if it is simply activity from mid level management try to appear as if they are working. One things first sure, if you wait long enough, one reorg will completely reverse an earlier reorg. It looks like a cat chasing its tail!

Your thoughts?

Oracle does this on purpose to keep people worried.....anxious....you can always tell Oracle is run by the d-mbest people in the room when you have managers/supervisors/VP's/SVP's who are in charge of no one. the company operates like Microsoft....of 1993....they are also great at rewarding stuff a teenager could do. I laugh now cause one group I worked a lot with was doing a big upgrade effort and it was SOOOOOOO important that you updated the color coded excel....it makes me laugh cause this wasn't that long ago....so many people with very little skills all pa-ties in a bunch if you didn't check your customer..... Oracle is easily the most pathetic place I've ever worked, but it's good for people with very little talent or people that have talent and one to skate on by making 6 figures to do color coded spreasheets and act like they're in tech. I mean. We all know the types....the ones that want to look over your shoulder make sure you get something done and be the "Mom" and have this crazy power trip of control cause their personal life is cr-p. hahahahahahahahahahhaha. such a waste of life.

You will hear re-org much more than you ever hear promotion at Oracle. the mgmt is a wreck. very low people. many bad managers. there are too many people and not enough work. so many people I worked for couldn't even do my job......when they did...they'd just ask me for my stuff. oracle very low class of people in mgmt. very low class and morals.

SEC not hardly they only do civil cases. This is RICO rules which are different & have much longer sentences. It’s taking a long time but that’s part of the game. Feds never forget and they like surprises. Anyone that put O in jeopordtv by stealing inventors work and perjured themselves taking credit as an inventor but does not have the skill set will have to pay the price. Makes no sense for a dishonest person to get promoted to a position that lacks accountability, where more activity continued.

Upcoming holidays could be spent away for next 25 years. Justice will prevail.

Reorg to make you an engineer, then cut the floor right away from you!

Re-orgs are what management does when they need to shake up the snow globe and let the flakes fall in different places. Makes them look like they are doing something and solving problems when they are not.

I wasted years of my life working at Oracle. Not only was it the most toxic, awful place I've ever worked, but people were constantly getting laid off. I left and a year later the entire department I worked for was let go. That was a number of years ago and from what I have heard, the cheaper version of that department that had been setup in Seattle were also laid off. I will never work for that place again. And if you can get out- get out.

There will be re-org in Cloud Engineering.
Lot's of Project managers, IC4, IC5's sitting ideal. not selling enough and cloud lift not doing anymore free migrations and on top lots of middle management fat trying to protect their own survival. Just like at aws there will be re-org where more IC's will be put under middle managers, thus removing lots of middle management.

It will be interesting. They don’t believe it can happen to them even tho the entire world is going through a major reset. Truth wins. The ax will be forthcoming.
RICO is serious. 2 counts most likely but could be 3 at 20 years each + perjury, wire fraud, money laundering, bribery, blackmail. misuse of publicly traded Corps funds for personal use. Ridiculous # of counts. Income tax fraud and income tax evasion perjury. P Diddy is looking at 200 years. This individual could 25-40 years. Maybe more. Depending on Offshore involvement coujd bring a lot more.
