Thread regarding USAA layoffs

EEOC

Does anyone lurking on here have any experience dealing with this damn place and the EEOC? I am in the beginning phase of gathering all my paperwork together for a large complaint against this company and I’m curious if anybody has a little experience on what their process is.

If you go to HR just be ready for a target on you. It is solid proof you “tried” but they don’t care. When I was breastfeeding HR told me pumping is not unlimited, that I cannot do it whenever I want.

I hate to add one more burden on you. Time is of the essence. The statute of limitations favors the employer.

While I 100% agree with those responding with a negative to the statement that you should discuss with HRBP/ER/Leadership, there may be a requirement to do so. I would definitely work with your lawyer to be certain that your case is not tossed out of a court of law by not performing this step. I would make certain, however, that you are prepared for negative consequences from USAA's HRBP/ER/Leadership team. They are out to protect USAA's interests, not yours. You may be required by law to tolerate a certain amount of B.S. (up to and including a phoney PIP). Just turn off any of their negativity and follow what your attorney advises you to do. Document what happens in response to your discussion(s), save evidence (I know this is hard since they control all use of the network and devices), and get a supportive attorney who knows the ropes and can guide you through the maze of B.S. Also, have backup resources such as alternative sources of income during this trying time. Take "breathers" on weekends and PTO because you are only human and cannot remain in such a toxic environment without breaks. All the best!

I second having a lawyer on your side. HR and Ethics are PROs at deflecting responsibility.

USAA will ignore you and the EEOC and nothing will happen

You were doing so well until that last sentence. "If you want real resolution then work with HRBP/ER/Leadership."

Ooooof!

EEOC is a pretty straightforward process. If you want your complaint taken seriously then have an attorney file the complaint. If you want real resolution then work with HRBP/ER/Leadership.

You must not have much of a case if you are soliciting opinions on an anonymous message board. Good luck wasting your time.

knock it off, there's too much DEI in the place, not too little, in my opinion
