Those people will not be laid off, they will be fired. Layoffs are only for people whose position was eliminated through no fault of their own. There may be times when whole departments are impacted and a few outliers are included, but that is not the intent of a layoff.

It is not over. There are a few outliers for this round, but look for the re-org announcement as early as next week. This will lead to round 2.

What data that so clearly shows that? Nothing has been shared anywhere. I’d love to know how in person collaboration producing higher quality is a quantifiable metric.

They really need to lay off the people who are refusing to come back to the office when their roles at at the office and the data CLEARLY shows that collaborative roles working much higher quality when in the office 3 days or more a week. That huge expensive empty building is a farce. People blame the EMG but the employee entitlement continues and they refuse to do what they are directed to do. Plenty of people will take over those roles and follow instructions for what they are being compensated for.
