Thread regarding USAA layoffs

This proved my point

I kept telling people around me that nobody was safe and few listened. Some of you really think you're indispensable for some reason even when the company has proven again and again that the only thing that matters is money. If you make too much, no matter how good you are, you will be laid off. One of my teammates just learned that lesson the hard way. To say he didn't expect to be affected would be an understatement. I do feel bad for him, but this could have been so much easier on him if he accepted the obvious and actually prepared for the possibility.

Right now, internal "fighting" is exactly what they want. It takes away from the atrocities they have been performing for quite some time now. Be kind to one another, work together, and hopefully everyone will find great jobs -- outside of this sh!tshow of a company!

I think all the OP is getting at is "be prepared". It's a new day at USAA and nowhere is safe.

So you are right and maybe they should be prepared but what satisfaction do you get coming on here and saying "I told you so?" Many people saw this coming; I saw this coming, and you know what? I wished I was wrong, and I get no satisfaction from being "right " about this
