On August 30th 2024, many WFH employees from Pennsylvania, Georgia, Colorado, and Michigan working in the Advertising Operations Coordinator roles of Comcast, in the EffecTV Department were laid off with only 2 weeks of warning.
According to HR, this was down as a way to cut costs and weren't based on performance history, but many of us suspect that this is a lie. Several Supervisors were also demoted down 1 level, and many other Ad Ops Coordinators had their shifts moved to Tuesday-Saturday shifts.
The employees laid off were given 1 week of Severance Pay per Year worked, and basically given a half-assed apology from HR/upper leadership. Sorry to say but this is the future of Comcast, letting go many employees with only 2 weeks notice is a shameful thing to do to many good workers.
I have worked with many of those laid off and it hurts to see that those who worked hard, gave extra hours/efforts, and took on extra projects for no pay increase were among those who were let go.
Wish you all the best,
Sincerely, A disgrunted Ad Ops 2 employee from Chesterbrook, PA.
