People who literally worked nights and weekends over the last few months to complete an impossible timeline for the Prudential work were let go, many of whom spent weeks away from their families. Some folks who had been here only months, while others with 15 plus years. In 30 plus years in IT, never seen anything close to this. Hard to imagine how you rally folks when the thank you is a swift kick out the door.

I was also let go for no real reason today after 13.5 yrs at LPL. HR’s only reason provided was “my position is being eliminated” which makes no sense as management had just spent the last few weeks assuring us LPL was in a growth mode and was not looking to make any layoffs in my area but instead just the opposite.

I just joined and at a recent department meeting there were a lot of questions around compensation and promotion. I know there was a hiring freeze of some kind and expense issues. What is going on? I'm wondering about the recent RTO and how it will impact promotions/career growth.

How do you know this? What departments will be getting affected? Service team since they're all triple Skilling?

Do the layoffs have to do with the CEO debacle as well? What about the return to work initiative? Any word on that increasing to 2-3 days by Q2 2025?

I've never seen a company go through so many changes in such a short time period.
