Lately, it feels like people are walking out every week, and the way it's been going, I'm worried it'll soon turn into a daily thing. Ricoh isn’t the worst place to work, so what’s really going on here? Am I missing something? Is anyone else happy here, or is it just me?

Ricoh used to be a good company. They used to have a mission and a product that was decent. Now the company is lost, doesn’t know what it wants to be so it grasps at straws. Even if you don’t want to admit it, Ricoh is going to go the way of Kmart. It’s only a matter of time before they sell off the company to the highest bidder. In the meantime they are trying to make money.
I heard there was a C-level person who recently resigned - it's a sign of more to come. Such a shame
I left a couple months ago. The writing was on the wall that things are not going well for them at all. Instead of firing habitually under performing managers and vice presidents, they’re letting go of or forcing many of their sales staff out. The CEO desperately wants to be known as a digital company, but they’re ignoring aspects of their business that actually make money to fulfill his desires. They clearly need to pivot as the industry is rapidly changing. Contrary to what some say, the industry is not dying at all, but evolving into something different. They’re handing out pips like they are candy as a way of forcing out people so that they don’t have to continue to pay them. In Some areas, They are way too saturated with sales people and it’s rapidly catching up to them. It used to be a company I was proud to work for but now I hope they completely fall apart.
The business is not "failing"...the industry is "changing"...huge difference....yes, if you jump ship early and go to a competitor to be doing basically the same job, then yes, jobs will be scarce but going to a competitor in an industry that is changing such as ours, you will on the chopping block there, as well....you need to go to a different industry altogether....like this even needs to be explained....
Multiple layoffs in a dying industry don't instill confidence in employees. After the layoffs in 2023, my dept head said we had nothing to worry about, Ricoh 'made' record profits. And then in 2024 we got hit with another wave of layoffs. Moral is dead.
I worked for a failing business one time. People that left seemed to find jobs easy, the loyal ones that stayed behind were sc--wed in the end as the all the available jobs were already filled by those who jumped ship early on.
