Another layoff posting? LOL Do we still have anyone left after weekly layoffs?

And not just VCF. Tanzu will get a reorg as well and some layoffs in the process.

Let the hunger games begin!

Play a drinking game on the 22nd for how many times Hock’s name is mentioned. Enjoy the show.

Reorg on 22nd is to break down silos and of course a bit of blood letting.

Ya know, consolidation.

I can confirm that all remote people will fine. There's no specific layoffs for remote people.
Don't listen to those stupid fake news that keep repeating since merger.

If you are more than 50 miles from office you will not be asked to go into an office
You will be asked to relocate. It’s happening.

No, it's not going happen.

Non vmware people should not comment. Yes it’s true people have been asked to relocate or get fired. Now is the manager doing this or it’s the almighty leader.. don’t know. It’s just unstable and your time can be up any time. Also true remote people are fired. So just be prepared. Good luck

I know someone who lives near an office (VCF) but there is no room so he has been told he must move to the next closest office which is hours away.

You'll be asked verbally if you want to relocate within 50 miles. If you say no then you will be added to the list. Your time is limited.

Yes please stop scaring people. If you are more than 50 miles from office you will not be asked to go into an office. You are set for life especially if your an IC. I have been remote for 7 years and only work one to two hours a day, I live near an ocean but I am close with my manager so he always saved my a-s. If you and your manager are not buddy buddy then be scared. As usual the ones who su-k up will be saved.

Stop that RTO rumor already. I know no one gets let go because they are remote. If the employees are in Remote status, it is remote for life! I am remote. I spend half of my time working on my project car with a laptop next to it. Fetch kids to/from school and do grocery occasionally. It is called multitasking. I have never missed datelines, calls or meetings even though nonessential ones. I am still employed. So, stop the BS. I'm tired of those who didn't get the deal and keep spreading rumors. If you are remote before but within 50 miles, you might not be in luck.

thats suprising they're waiting until the 22d for a reorg/layoff meeting. Id figure greedy Hock would do it before the 15th so as to sc--w everyone out of the Dec RSU vesting and bonus.

Layoffs will happen prior to the 22nd. The meeting is to discuss the re-org with remaining team. RTO or you're gone. No more exceptions.
