Laid off a little over three months ago. Still unemployed. I've got enough savings so I'm not worried about that, but I really did think I'd have a job by now. Keep your skills updated, folks. Find some time to do it. I thought I was set and I was so, so wrong.

Took me six months after being laid off and it was networking that pulled me out of the endless applying and interviewing loop. It felt extra delayed as this was during the same time last year (over the holidays). Don't lose hope, but know that it's the most difficult time of the year for companies to hire (in tech).
As the other poster mentioned a short-term contract could be beneficial , that's what I'm doing now , contracting su-ks but you can get some good experience and as a contractor your expected to be hands on so won't be bogged down with endless meetings
Get ready to switch to Contract roles. The tech employee job market is in transition.
They are changing the wheels on this bus as the bus is wired to blow up if it slows down and there are no brakes. This is speed with 10x the craziness.
Sell at the top and hunker down for a couple of years. Not a good idea to get cancer and ruin your life in this crazy times. It always works out in the end. Consider yourself blessed for not going through the crazy ride in VMware where nothing works but you are supposed to deliver on the next big thing that makes VCF from shiiiiitttt to gold. The leaders are clueless. Why do we need 20,000 infra engineers to optimize infra and tools? Hock is clearly a finance and sales guy and understands nothing about engineering. This shiiiiit is going to stink to high heaven. This is the end.

According to recent research by Jeffrey Pfeffer, Ph.D. of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, certain types of workplace conditions may actually result in premature death.
One person died after being fired. Few people got heart attacks.
This is going to accelerate. Yes, if you get cancer it is covered in the medical insurance, but you will be scarred for life. Take care.
Hang in there, it took me 4m several years ago, Things might slow a bit during the US holiday season.
It’s timing. I have been there. You’ll find something great, just takes more time than you would think.
It's only been 3 months, that's nothing given the current market
Don't lose hopes. Universe will have something for you soon. There are many folks in the same boat.
