Payroll is so fing tight that most of the time it is just me in the store. If I am lucky, can have temp help. Cannot clock out for lunch, because the temps will have questions. I make sure I have some food quickly during the day and after we close (while I stay on the clock). Thank you, Follett for the delayed, yet paid, meal break!
On a CM note, told students today to order from other sources. Have adoptions with no PO placed. CM3s are way over worked and they took CM (and pay) from the CSLs.
I was told to take a working lunch many many times.
Maybe they need to realize how bad Follett is treating their employees. Post a sign and go p-e or take a lunch. To he-l with taking a lunch after the store closes. If I punch out after it's closed I'd go home. Good luck to anyone stuck working for Follett. Best thing they did for me was cut my job. I LOVE my new job!!
I have not punched out for a lunch break in almost 2 years. Why? Because of follett's infinite wisdom, they cut all PT workers in order to save the almighty dollar for the corporate pockets. I refuse to close my doors for potty or lunch because the campus I work for would go ape-s*t! And rightfully so! They are paying follett to run their campus stores, but follett is doing a pss poor job. Managers are completely overworked and still demanded to give more.
Well, if you want more from the overworked managers and CMM's, you are going to pay for the extra time we all put in.
I work to live. Not live to work. Sorry follett, but I think your days are numbered for a lot of campuses.
Take your lunch and breaks! Post a sign in the door and get your time! You need to take care of you because Follett won’t!
Lunch break? Lock the door, put ups sign when the lunch is over open door. Works for my store. And you can eat and no work if you wish.
