Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

One for the next townhall

At a recent all hands meeting at VW:

"Workers unleashed their collective anger, unfurling banners and chanting protest slogans, among them: “We’re Volkswagen, you are not.” For about 20 minutes, according to eyewitnesses"

Those words rang in my ears as we try to cope with serial abuse from three seperate successive leadership teams...

"We're DXC, you aren't!"

"Can someone explain what’s going on?"

It's just a comparison to VW where the workers are saying management are out of touch...

Certainly M2's style was "we'll pretend everything is OK and that will make it all OK"

Very much self denial and deceit.

You could see it everywhere - the "tone is important" was rhetoric for "only say happy clappy things"

In some ways I get it, people did need to be picked up from years of negativity (created by leadership) but you can't just make it go away with cheerleading, it has to be based on action. Action which they never wanted to take.

The cheerleading seems to have gone under Raul. His approach seems to be brooding silence instead.

I wonder if anyone up there cares, and knows what they are doing, or if they are blissfully unaware that there is even an issue down here. Staff leave all the time, tell the management that's how it is. Tell the management we offered a pay rise but they all decline. Tell them the clients are happy. Just tell 'em want to hear. It doesn't have to be true. Nobody likes the truth, it might cost a few dollars and involve actually doing something.
