Mine was so bad, and turned out to be too costly (commute, daily expenses), that I decided to quit. Didn’t want to wait it out till layoffs or anything. Just left. I have built up a skillset with some highly sought after specializations which are lacking in Broadcom. They didn’t try to make me stay. However, it allowed me to find another job, remote with good options (benefits, pay, hours) rather quickly. I know many are not in the same position and my situation is a bit specific. I personally believe that the RTO, even with the hidden attrition agenda, has been one of the stupidest decisions by many companies. By getting rid of people en masse they have also managed to get rid of a lot of talent.

Much better so far. I'm very happy with mandatory RTO.
RTO is a way for them to get you to quit so they don’t have to pay severance.
