Most big companies allow paid sabbatical leave after a certain year of service. O is still not in that league, i believe.

The concept of the sabbatical is based on the Biblical practice of shmita, which is related to agriculture. According to Leviticus 25, Jews in the Land of Israel must take a year-long break from working the fields every seven years.

So if you are a Jew, you are entitled to one, taking into account who is at helm.
