Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Do RSUs get bumped every year?

Does anyone know if we get fresh RSUs every year? Not referring to the ones we got at joining that vest over four years but do we get fresh ones every year out was that just a one time thing?

HT is closely monitoring the VMW profit. Everything is subject to ongoing review.

The past RSU offering is not an indication of potential future benefits. Read the fine print.

"It should be same dollar amount as welcome grant."
Talk to Broadcom folks who have been around for >5 years. They said the same thing. I am hopeful but not gonna depend on it as division are different. For VCF it all depends on the AOP. If it's $16b then I'll believe it will be good RSU.

Hock has said that we get refreshers every year in March. The welcome RSUs counted as 2024 so they didn't give anymore to VMW folks but if you're still here, you'll get them next year. It should be same dollar amount as welcome grant.

The rumor is a March tranche of stock will be given to employees. And by rumor I mean my boss has told me this is a rumor SHE is hearing. But I can believe she is lying to get me to stay on.

The site is NOT suitable for employees who have been laid off. Move on folks. It is bad for you to stay here. Let it go.

This site is for current employees who fear they maybe laid off.

Agree.
It could be a huge factor. People have mortgages, ill family members, debts etc etc. It could be the difference between surviving or going under next year.

Maybe it’s a factor to stay vs. leave?

You know this is a site about layoffs, ya? Doesn’t it strike you a little off to be asking questions about making MORE money when the audience is primarily folks that are making no money? Gtfo.
