Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

There are only two options:

Take it or take it.
Boeing CEO delivered ultimatum to Machinists. Union leaders believe him

Otherwise next offer (if any) will go backwards CEO said according to the Seattle times..
Leaders should make Voting cards to have "accept" and "accept".

Boeing is NOTHING without the IAM! Hire the SCAB labor and see what you get you ignorant _hole. It’s all about Corporate greed! Boeing needs to open up their eyes on the salaries they pay the executives! The IAM will make Boeing GREAT AGAIN!!

The mechanics are accepting this offer and will be back at work by Wednesday.
How do we know this?
Because we are the bushes holding up your signs because it's too cold outside for you and we hear everything.

If the pension is a big deal for the iam then they should tell boeing we are not bringing any offer that doesn't have a pension to the members to vote on, boeing just wants to add another percent or two raise till they get a 50.5% yes vote, really they can keep bringing the same offer to the table to vote on as time goes on. Remember, if boeing gets a 55% yes vote, then they would feel they gave the membership way too much. Boeing is just edging the iam.

I’m not willing to take the chance, just look he is getting rid of DEI organization, layoffs. I mean we knew it was going to happen, but you can’t tell me that the strike 🪧 didn’t affect them at all, somewhat. We accept the contract, and we do something about this union and its leaders, before next negotiations in which are in 2028.

Just take the offer guys, people are going to lose their jobs soon regardless of this vote and three are a lot of people including outside of this company that are sick and tired of the no-votes. Get back to work at making making great airplanes, put quality first 100% of the time and beat the competition.

Union Membership (Not Union Leadership) is doing what it always does, conspiracy theories and changing narratives when it doesn't suit them.

In 2014 the vote was "stolen" by the international union folks.

This year Julie Su was the "savior" because she made Boeing come back to the negotiation table. But now, since she is recommending acceptance, she is in the pocket of Boeing (A Democratic appointed acting secretary of Labor)

Everything from paid "operatives" posting on social media to bots making "yes" posts.

They want to claim Boeing is not negotiating in good faith, but put forward FOUR progressively better offers (three that will be voted on)

The union on the other hand has not negotiated at all.

The union went in with the position of 40% GWI and the pention returned. They have NOT moved from that position.

Negotiation is give and take. Boeing has "given" four times, The union has yet to give anything.

Boeing is NEGOTIATING
The union is DEMANDING

If the union actually negotiated at all (much less in good faith) I would have sympathy for them.

The membership is by now feeling the effects of a weekly $250 stipend from the union. Tough paying bills in the greater Seattle area with that miniscule amount. The company is finally going to win this voting round. Now get yer rears back to work.....all that catch-up overtime.

It’s not a bad offer. The IAM didn’t get everything they wanted but Boeing has made some drastic improvements from the original offer.
