Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

I was going to vote yes on this contract

I was going to vote yes on this contract but ever since they start threatening our jobs and what they’re going to do if we don’t vote yes on this contract with threatening language like that I will Vote No.

This really says alot about union leadership. They dont represent our interests, only themselves. So which way to vote? Vote NO is the only option.

D-mb move by Ortberg. One of the reasons machinists are voting No is they still feel humiliated over the contract they were bullied into 10 years ago. Repeating the same move is not the way to go.👎

This offer actually had a chance of passing, slim but a chance as more previous No's were discussing voting yes and getting back to work. Then Ortberg had to take his threats and ultimatum from behind closed to doors to the press. This instantly opened old wounds for far too many who lived through the threats of 2011 and 2014. These folks were ready to move on but now all that anger and mistrust has been brought back to the fo-e front. I fear that Mondays vote won't even be close now, it had a 50/50 chance and all it needed was 50% + 1. Would not surprise me if it ends 80/20 against. He sabotaged all the hard work both sides and Julie Su had done with one very stupid comment to the press. The backlash is very real within the ranks. I was a yes on the last offer I was certainly a yes on this offer until I read Kelly's threat, that one action changed my vote I will not be bullied again by Boeing leadership who's only loyalty is to their stockholders they no longer even care about their customers. All he had to do was keep his mouth shut.
