Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Massive Layoffs!!

The coming layoffs in 2025 & 2026 will be unlike any Boeing has ever experienced since the inception of the company. It will also affect many other suppliers in the process.

Bottom line is we don’t have enough competent people to build at a high rate anymore.

Right after 911 the company laid off 30%. BO-M!
So, I don't think this will be the largest layoff ever.
But, time will tell...

Second shift will be gone for a yr or so. Most, likely will not come back. Company is in big trouble.

I don't believe it will be their largest layoff, but I think it will be more than the 10% as originally advertised. I'm in engineering at boeing and I wish they would clean house with a lot of management. Some layers of leadership literally do nothing but listen to and pass a long project updates while make hundreds of thousands. Fu-k those useless a--holes. I have never worked harder, released a handful of patents, saved hundreds of thousands in improvements and don't get any recognition. I'm 2 inches away from leaving. It's sad because I love the company.

It depends on whether those d-mb-a$$ can make, produce enough planes worthy of their wage, and safely
They are being slowed right now, because pushing those dum-b0a$$ harder they would fail. One more bad incident and they would be done for...

Of course Boeing is trying to get it going with what they can and see if they can get to that level of high & quality production (as previous generations has done; that is why I think the 40% voted 'no' deserve their pension, too bad it does not work out for them)

Personally I doubt that IAM would achieve that level, and of course Boeing will need to move to plan B, and already they are doing some. Seems that they plan to be in the loss for 4-5 years, that is what they raise the money for. Also for liquidation (sell or break-off). Everybody see that the plan right now is just to survive

I say even Boeing's engineering su-k a$ right now, can't do anything right. The whole company is just unproductive
Union's action just bury themselves deeper, it is funny. When the company is making profit and strong, that is when you should fight for your worth
But this union goes for it when the company is weak

Yes, what these dud a-s IAM workers don’t understand outside of their factory floor is that Companies & Businesses like Boeing plan a budget yearly or even quarterly all the time. They’re already a step ahead of the Strike & contract. You didn’t actually think they would give you a pay raise & have nothing to offset it right?… silly people, stay at Amazon or where ever you may have started working at since the strike crippled you. Expect layoffs. Smh
