Thread regarding Highmark Health layoffs

Does Highmark have a Non-Compete Agreement?

Does anyone know if are you able to leave Highmark and work for say Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida or work for Optum? I searched within the intranet and not able to see anything. I would ask HR, but I'm not sure if that is a wise thing to do.

Generally a lot of these non-competes are not enforceable especially if you’re laid off. You have the right to make a living.

Glad to see the board finally realizes the failure of engen isn't the workers it's the leaders and no vision other than oitsource everything possible. Now that engen president is gone im sure Mick will be the next one on the chopping block.

With a constant layoff, I wouldn’t even care

Nit.the question but If you get a job at a competitor you have 2 options with HR and your boss. Tell them and get a free 2 week vacation or don't tell them and work until your end date. Have seen both scenarios play out. Always make sure you give them your end date in writing so you don't get sc--wed out of 2 weeks of pay.
